We’re welcoming Mark McIntosh—also known as “The Comeback Coach”—to our HOPE Education Session, and after speaking with him, I can tell you he’s genuinely excited to be with this community.
Mark is a kidney transplant recipient, motivational speaker, and advocate who has taken his life experiences and turned them into purpose—through service, education, and giving back.
If you’ve heard Mark speak before, you already know—hearing him once isn’t enough. There’s always something new that resonates the next time.
I first heard Mark speak alongside our Sober Livers advisors and fellow liver health advocates through Global Liver Institute’s Advocacy Education Program—A3
—and it was one of those moments that stayed with me. Not just his story, but how he framed what you do with the life you’ve been given.
He also introduced a concept called SWOCHE™ that really stuck with me, and I’m excited for him to share that with all of us.
Whether that gift came through transplant, through recovery, or simply through making the decision to keep going today…there is something here for you.

In our quest to foster ongoing support and connection among members of our virtual education and peer support group, we're thrilled to introduce our HOPE private Facebook Group! Here, you'll find a sanctuary to extend our group conversations, initiate new discussions, and forge deeper connections with fellow members who understand the journey of living with alcohol use disorder (AUD), alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD), and transplant (TX) due to alcohol.
This HOPE Facebook Group serves as an additional safe haven where you can freely share your experiences, pose questions, and cultivate a sense of community with others navigating similar challenges. Whether you're seeking insights, perspectives, or simply a platform to express yourself in a more comfortable setting than Zoom sessions, this space is tailor-made for you.
Join us in embracing this new level of support, where each member contributes to the collective wisdom and strength of our community. Together, we'll navigate the complexities of AUD, ALD, and TX, finding solace and empowerment in the camaraderie of understanding souls.
Let's embark on this journey of mutual support and growth. Click the link to join our Facebook Group and unlock a world of shared experiences and unwavering support.
We can't wait to connect with you further!

Connection matters. Healing doesn’t happen alone.
