Jenn Jones, Founder - My Journey: Preface
“If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can't survive.” – Brene Brown. I learned something about myself today…
47.4% of 100,530 liver disease deaths, ages 12+,
in 2021 involved alcohol! (CDC WONDER)
Self-Care Tips 1 & 2:
Coming to you from my couch today!
I had a routine endoscopy yesterday, with unexpected results. Listen in as I share two important self-care tips for people with an alcohol-associated liver disease or have had a liver transplant due to alcohol...
Tip #1: Go to all follow-up appointments, scopes, and scans, even if you are feeling well.
Tip #2: Give yourself grace, and take the time you need to rest and recover from any procedure, illness, or mental health struggles.
Self-Care Tips #3:
Yoga Nidra! Yoga that is all about deep relaxation not movement...
It helps me fall into a deep sleep or take a nap!
Here are a few to get you started:

45 min that's equivalent to 3-hrs sleep: https://bit.ly/4bJP02R
Self-Care Tip #4: Spring into the Outdoors!
Spring is on it's way! Join me and my service dog Artemis (Arti), taking a break from our walk to share why getting outside is a healthy choice for people with alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD). Hats and sunscreen are important, and bundle up if it's still chilly where you are!
